Early 70's as the people from Indian Sub Continent
started migrating on large numbers, there was need to
entertain them with the music news and information
from back home. To quench the thirst for music from
back home we started a radio show named as
"Navrang" on 1240 AM every Saturday night 10pm-11pm.
This show was then moved to 1590 AM and the time was
changed to 10am to 11am.

This show became an instant hit and demand for the
increase in time was huge. Later another show was
added on Saturdays 10am to 11am featuring new songs.
As the community grew another show in Punjabi named
"Raunak Mela" added in 1983.

All the shows are non religious, and non political.

The shows in general are musical in nature  except for
Saturday. The
Saturday show has been changed from a
musical to a talk show.
